What is Boston Zombie Apocalypse?
BZA is an interactive tactical live action zombie event. You will be accompanied by a military guide and given a shotgun to fight zombies.There are NO projectiles involved. You will not be shot by paint or a BB. You will use your air powered shot gun to point and shoot at oncoming zombies who will fall to the floor. This is a high intensity event, and not a passive haunted house.
Is it a haunted house?
This is an action packed experience where you defend territory with your fellow survivors. You will be provided a shotgun and are expected to help your team make it out alive. This is a hands on live action experience. You must sign the waiver before entering.
When are you open?
Check out our Calendar page for days of operation. We open a little later on weeknights (6:45) and earlier (6:15) on the weekends.
What time is the ticket window open?
The checkpoint opens at 6pm. Please note: Tickets are only available on site 45 minutes in advance. For instance, if you want a 9:45 ticket, come at 9pm. Do NOT come any earlier.
I waited in line for 4 hours three seasons ago, will I have to wait that long this year?
NO. We sell tickets by the half hour, and on busy nights between 6:45-9:15 the wait can be up to 1 hour. We do our best to keep the wait less than that. We also offer pizza and refreshments while you wait.
Where can I buy a ticket?
We strongly recommend that you purchase a ticket online at our website. You can purchase a ticket on site at our ticket counter but you run the risk of not getting your ticket due to them selling out.
Can I make a reservation online but pay in person?
No! You must pay for a ticket within 7 minutes of reserving your spot online.
I purchased my ticket online, now what?
You bring your printed ticket or phone showing the email to the ticket counter.
I don’t have a credit card, so how can I purchase a ticket?
We have set a certain number of tickets aside for cash purchases in person. We recommend you check online to see if tickets are available for a certain time period. If they are not listed as sold out, then arrive up to 45 minutes before that time slot and buy your ticket in person.
Why do we have to commit to a certain half hour?
This is to help our event run efficiently. You are here to fight zombies, not waste your time!
What if I’m not on time?
We will try to get you in your half hour time slot. If you are more than a half hour late you may lose your chance to fight zombies.
What do I do after purchasing a ticket online?
You’ll receive an email ticket to print and bring to the ticket window. You may bring your smartphone with the ticket ready to be scanned to the window.
Why do we need a waiver?
Our insurance company insists that you sign a waiver. You can read it here or read it as it appears in your checkout page when buying tickets.
How long does it take to go through each zone?
The total experience will include your weapons training session, military guide instruction, defending yourself through the field, then the decontamination exit. We’re estimating that it will take 20 minutes once you are inside the building.
Are there any age restrictions?
No children under the age of 12 will be admitted without a paid adult chaperone. No one under the age of 8 will be admitted period. But this season we do have Halloween Laser Tag for ages 7 and up.
Can I hit the Zombies?
No. Under no circumstances are you to touch our actors or you will be escorted out of the city immediately.
Can the Zombies touch or attack me?
What if I get too scared to make it through the event?
Your safeword is BUTTERFLY. If you shout that a military guide will escort you out of the city and into the giftshop.
Do you serve alcoholic beverages?
NO! And they are not allowed on the property, so do not bring any. If you are showing any signs of being intoxicated we will ask you to leave immediately.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking and Vaping are allowed only in the parking lot. Smoking and Vaping are NOT allowed once you have entered the line.
Can I use my own airsoft gun?
No. We are providing you with our own shotguns specially outfitted for our event. No airsoft replica or any other kind of weapon is allowed on the premises. Our security personnel will be randomly checking patrons with a metal detector wand. If you are carrying any form of weapon you will be removed from the line and asked to take it back to your car.
What can’t we bring with us inside BZA?
No pets! No weapons! No alcoholic beverages! No cameras! No Flashlights! No smoking! No Vaping! No food or beverages!
Can I wear my legally concealed weapon?
No. No weapons of any kind are allowed at the Boston Zombie Apocalypse. Please understand that this is an intense situation where reflexes can take over. Therefore for the safety for all of our actors and patrons we request that you leave your weapons at home. Thank you.
Can I volunteer to be a Zombie?
Yes you can! We are looking for responsible fun people age 17 and up who love to get made into sick looking Zombies and make this event a truly amazing experience. Tell us about yourself at Info@BostonZombies.com
